Church Project
The project was completed successfully, resulting in a seamless blend of old and new. The bespoke joinery pieces crafted by Yarek Joinery not only enhanced the beauty and functionality of St. Mary’s Church but also paid homage to its historical and architectural legacy. The church community and visitors alike have praised the craftsmanship and dedication evident in every detail of our work.
The Outcome
As part of the restoration efforts at St. Mary’s Church, a Grade II listed building renowned for its historical significance and architectural beauty, Yarek Joinery was commissioned to craft bespoke joinery solutions. Our goal was to enhance the church's interior while preserving and echoing its 1500s style and heritage.
Objectives:
- To design and install custom joinery that complements the church's original 16th-century craftsmanship.
- To ensure all new joinery adheres to the visual and structural guidelines required for a listed building.
- To use traditional materials and techniques in keeping with the era, ensuring durability and aesthetic continuity.
Challenges:
Working within the constraints of a listed building presented unique challenges, particularly in adhering to the strict regulations that preserve the building's historical integrity. Each design was carefully planned and executed to meet these requirements while achieving the functional needs of the church.
“Yarek was there every step of the way and brought our falling apart joinery to fresh, brand new look and feel. Incredible skill and passion.”
